You see, the CAUSE Group was not against development, nor is anyone else. It has to be done carefully, taking into account the character of Crystal Beach. We already have an unfinished development (Bay Woods;) a not-yet-started development on Schooley Road near Glen Springs; and the proposed development of the old CB Amusement Park parking lot on Ridgeway Road. There has been plenty of infilling in the Beach. However, there is an blighted, unfinished eyesore of a block of townhouses on Cambridge Road near Derby Road.
